The wife and I decided to watch COMING TO AMERICA tonight. In my humble opinion, it's the greatest straight up comedy ever made. I've seen it I don't know how many times, but it never fails to make me laugh hysterically. Don't even try to talk to me when Randy Watson is up, 'cause I'll be too busy gasping to breath while wiping the steady stream of tears from my eyes.

One of the unsung heroes of the movie is Maurice, the portly lettuce washer and milkshake spiller at McDowell's. Ole Maurice doesn't have a lot of screen time, but what time he has, he makes the most of it. This sketch is devoted to one of my favorite scenes (and quotes) from the movie, which I've discovered is horribly misquoted all over the net. Shameful.

It saddens me there is an entire generation behind me that, as far as I can tell, has absolutely no clue as to just how great this movie is. If you're reading this, and in your in that group, do yourself a favor and get with the program! Go rent it, buy it out of a bargain bin...do what you gotta do! This movie is a must see.
